Horus Copy

The Small desktop Horus was copied to test the process of laser scanning, scaling up and then machining an item and would give an idea of how long the process takes.

The item was scanned and the 3D computer model assembled on screen, then using the 5 Axis CNC router, a block of HD poly was machined into shape. We did not do any hand finishing on the model before it was coated with a water based plasticized paint.

This sealed the surface and allowed for a normal spray can of textured stone effect paint to be applied to the surface to give the final handmade stone statue.
