Mannaquin

The mannequins are based on the historic figure Josephine Baker. To realise this we used a 3D computer model and posed it into the correct position as required by the client.

This pose was machined into HD EPS and hand finished with the only exception being the hands, which were machined into 0.45kg/ms2 PU due to the complexity of the fingers. All the items were then sprayed with polyurethane to a thickness of approximately 3mm. this was then sanded and further sprayed with high build polyester two pack filler/primer. Once this had been finished to a very smooth surface the two mannequins were sprayed with a two pack epoxy gloss finish.

The hands always remained removable to save any damage whilst the items were on tour around the world.
